Poke-Kubrick

This is a Stanley Kubrick's self-portrait, he took in the 40's. He liked photography, before his cinema interest. He took many interesting pictures, one of his jobs was as a photographer (before he worked as a filmaker)
I like it 'cause I think that it's a very good self-portrait, I like his serious and concentrated expression. The perfection of his composition impresses me, and the good way he focus, despite how hard it's doing both things without being observed by the viewfinder. It seems a very simple picture, if we think of taking photograph with digital cameras, but taking a picture from a "analog" reflex camera is different 'cause you need to have some basics knowledge in photography.
So, when I see this picture I wonder many things, like... how he made it to focus in his own reflection into the mirror???

I like the photography, and, personally, I prefer black and white pictures, 'cause you can play with the light and shades and contrast in a diferent form that the color photography.
